Coaches, Build Trust with This…

What form of communication allows you to build trust the best?  Should you focus on email or social media?  What about Instagram?  Maybe you need a new camera or best of the best phone for video? For most, staying ahead of the tech curve is simply a distraction and not the best use of your time.

When it comes to Email, many may believe that it is outdated and that social media is the new “in thing” or whatever the new quick, snap, chat, send, app of the day is. Everyone believes that social media is THE way to stay connected with your clients. But does it build trust?

The question is asked, “why do so many people (including you, I’m sure) still check their email at least once daily, and why would your email address be needed for all social networks to create accounts?”

Email still remains a vital and imperative communication tool.

Isn’t it gratifying when you receive an email? It definitely has a more personal touch than to view posts on social media. When it comes to having successful online coaching businesses, Email is here to stay!

Trust is the glue of life. It’s the most essential ingredient in effective communication. It’s the foundational principle that holds all relationships.  Stephen Covey

According to sources the amount of email accounts worldwide are expected to grow from over 4 billion accounts to over 5 billion by 2018. Unbelievable! Email remains a universally accepted means of communication among clients and coaches, the number of which is constantly growing.

Email is evolving like just about everything else online.

Consider that the average individual actually reads their inbox mail up to 50% of the time they are online and consider 42% of it important. Combine that with the fact that persons can receive almost 12,000 emails in a single year and you just have to think of how to make use of that, to be a part of that 42%.

Do not be discouraged from using Email to communicate with your clients, email marketing is still totally vital. It helps you to keep in touch and build trust and long-lasting relationships with your customers. This can also lead to an actual response from them.  Email is actually the avenue that gives you the highest Return on Investment compared to social media, video, and more.  Consider the cost of sending one email.

Grow your Mailing List, Here’s why!

Not growing your mailing list can lead to many missed opportunities. While sending a message to your list of customers could lead to a multitude of responses, new clients, and income!

The mailing list is yours, whereas social media can change their privacy settings and restrict your communication with your customers. Not good. Remember, those on your list wanted to be on it in the first place. From your emails you can then invite them to join you on social media.

Everyone has an email account!

Believe me, there are still people out there who don’t have a Facebook or Twitter account. Use Email to build trust and grow your business with people who are interested in your products or services. They are the ones who want to and are listening to you…leverage that!  Building assets in your coaching business through trust is a smart move – your list of emails is an awesome asset to have, nurture, leverage, and respect it.

Much love & admiration,
